Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using 9ONE0, including by paying for a 9ONE0 Check or a membership, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These Terms are a binding agreement between you and Mintploy, Inc.

2. Eligibility

9ONE0 is built for women, and open to anyone meeting someone new. You must be 18 or older to use 9ONE0, and you confirm this before you pay or open an account. A 9ONE0 Check starts from a phone number you have lawfully obtained, or from a relative listed on a report you ran, by tapping their name. 9ONE0 does not let you search by typing a name, email or address. We may close accounts that do not meet these requirements, misrepresent them, or use 9ONE0 Checks to locate or contact someone who does not want to be found.

3. Permitted use, and no FCRA uses

9ONE0 is a personal safety journal and research tool. You may use it to look up public records possibly associated with a person you plan to meet, for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, for example someone you are thinking of dating or meeting for a sale. 9ONE0 is not a consumer reporting agency, and a 9ONE0 report is not a consumer report under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). You may not use 9ONE0, or anything in a report, to decide or help decide anyone’s eligibility for employment, housing or a lease, credit, insurance, a professional license, or a government benefit, or for any other purpose covered by the FCRA or a similar state law. You may not use 9ONE0 on behalf of an employer, landlord, lender, insurer or other business.

4. Your confirmation before each search

Before each 9ONE0 Check you confirm, by ticking a box on screen, that you are checking the person for your own safety, and that you will not use the report for jobs, housing, credit or insurance, or to harass, threaten or expose anyone. A 9ONE0 Check does not run until you do. We keep a record of each confirmation, with the date and the wording you agreed to.

5. Prohibited use

You may not: use 9ONE0 to harass, stalk, or harm anyone; share report data with others for commercial purposes; reverse-engineer or scrape the service; use the service for any unlawful purpose; or try to get around our access controls or usage limits.

6. Data provided as is

9ONE0 gathers publicly available records from third-party data sources, which are not consumer reporting agencies. Report data is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, completeness, timeliness, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Public records contain errors and gaps. Records are searched by name, so a report may include records that belong to someone else, including people who share a name. A charge or an arrest is not a conviction, and a record may not show how a case ended. A 9ONE0 report is a summary of records possibly associated with a name. It is not a consumer report, and it is never proof that any specific person has any specific record. Check any record with the court or agency that holds it before you rely on it, and do not make a consequential decision based on a 9ONE0 report alone.

7. Memberships and payment

The Vault is free. 9ONE0 Checks are sold as a monthly membership ($39 per month), an annual membership ($349 per year, billed once a year), a founding membership ($199 per year, a price that stays the same for as long as the membership stays active, while founding places last), or a single 9ONE0 Check ($19, one time). Each membership includes 10 9ONE0 Checks a month. Membership checks reset every month on the day you joined (or the last day of a shorter month) and do not roll over. A single 9ONE0 Check you buy never expires. A 9ONE0 Check on a relative from a report uses a check like any other. Memberships renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in Settings, under Plan and billing; canceling takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again. Deleting your account cancels your membership immediately, and any unused checks end with it. All payments are final and non-refundable except as required by law.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect and use your data. By using 9ONE0, you agree to the collection and use described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mintploy, Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of 9ONE0. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mintploy, Inc. from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of 9ONE0 in violation of these Terms or applicable law.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email. If you keep using 9ONE0 after that, the revised Terms apply.
