Why 9ONE0 exists
In the founder’s own words:

What 9ONE0 is and isn’t
9ONE0 is a personal safety research tool and journal. A 9ONE0 Check starts from a phone number and shows what public and licensed records say, so you can see where the record and their story might differ. The Vault is free: a card for every person you’re getting to know, with your notes and flags.
9ONE0 is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. You can’t use it for hiring, renting, lending or insurance decisions. Public records can be incomplete or out of date, so look any record up yourself before you act on it.
